Water Siter

graphic score,

constructed improvisation

Performed with a graphic score, Water Siter uses the idea of an adaptation of Javanese traditional scale (namely, slendro) into a harpsichord’s tuning system, the Javanese siter’s traditional playing technique, and a mimetic interpretation of a physical movement of water. This composition is aimed to be performed with improvisation guided by the score and the direction.

The score was published by Donemus in 2015. To get the digital score, click here.
