Mode[a]rn: How Can We Earn and Learn from being Modern?
Auditorium IFI-LIP, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Modern life followed by sophisticated and advanced technology has affected society both positively and negatively how they reach the significance of life. There is a tendency that technology has made people disregard senses of self and life more and more. This is unfortunately a consequence of technology which curtails reality.
Mode[a]rn comes as a performance to reveal the reality as well as a friendly reminder to us that we are supposed to earn and learn from being modern; we would better not to be a victim of advanced technology. This electroacoustic performance will involve audiences to compose music together.
The Mode[a]rn performance is awarded Hibah Seni Karya Inovatif 2016 (Innovative Art Grant) by Yayasan Kelola (Kelola Foundation).
